Claartje Freriks

I graduated from the University of Utrecht in 2001 and have been working as a veterinarian ever since. Because I sometimes encountered limitations and one-sided exposure of problems in Western, ‘regular’ veterinary medicine, I decided to broaden my horizons.

In 2016 I completed the IVAS certified veterinary acupuncture training. Internally at Den Hoek I was trained in working with the Lecher antenna, connection sensor and the use of natural medicines. In the meantime, I am training in Germany to also become a veterinary chiropractor.

It is great to see how complementary medicine enriches and improves the treatment process of an animal in addition to regular medicine. In this way we can strive together for a healthy, cheerful and flexible horse.
