Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a method of treatment based on manual therapy (with hands), with the aim of locating and treating blockages and disorders of the nervous system. Chiropractic focuses on the spine, legs and nervous system.

A healthy spine and a healthy body are linked inseparable. This connection is formed by the nervous system. Much of the nervous system runs through the spine.

The chiropractic examination focuses on the entire spine, but also on the joints and ligaments in the legs. The limitation in the mobility of the joints of the spine, pelvis and legs can affect the nervous system. Chiropractic rtreatment emoves these blockages, which also reduces the effects on the nervous system and its consequences for the entire horse.

The blockages in the joints are not always visible on X-rays or with ultrasound, but can be the cause of, for example, lameness, stiffness or insufficient muscle development in certain regions of the body.

Good chiropractic treatment ensures that the joints can function properly again, reduces pain complaints and can reduce medication and the need for surgery.

Chiropractic is one of the possible forms of holistic treatment and will be used after a diagnosis has been made by means of an anamnesis , an extensive physical examination and a mobility examination. In addition, the diagnosis will be supported by the lecher antenna measurements and the saddle and nutrition will be examined. In this way a diagnosis can be made what the cause of the complaint is and where the blockages are present and what this has as a consequence for the nervous system and therefore for your horse.

What issues can be treated with chiropractic?

Chiropractic is mainly used in our practice for complaints such as:

  • Spine problems
  • Blockages
  • Lameness
  • Muscle problems
  • Problems of the nervous system

Difference Osteopathy and Chiropractic

Osteopathy focuses on removing blockages throughout the body, so that the blood flow to all tissues, lymph system (drainage of fluid), organs and nervous system can function properly. Problems with internal organs can cause pain or a blockage in the spine. Conversely, internal problems can also be caused by vertebral blockages.

Chiropractic focuses on the spine and the functioning of the entire nervous system, so that here too the impact on the entire body is looked at, but the manipulation focuses on the spine and pelvis.
