What is HorseFlex MSM for horses?
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is a natural source of sulfur and an important building block in a horse’s cartilage and tendons, joints and hooves. Sulfur, like calcium and magnesium, for example, is a macromineral that is very important for various processes in the horse’s body. It is found in bones, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, joints, hooves, skin and hair. Sulfur is important in repairing damaged cells and keeps tendons and joints supple.

So in addition, MSM for horses also plays an important role in maintaining and restoring strong hooves and healthy skin and coat. For example, sulfur contributes to the production of keratin, a protein that is the main component of a horse’s hooves, skin and coat. Thus, it is important for many different body processes that a horse can absorb enough MSM. MSM powder as a supportive supplement can therefore be a good addition for a horse.

When can I give my horse a supplement with MSM?
Horses get MSM through their diet. However, the amount of MSM in food is not always sufficient. In fact, MSM is created by a small plant in the ocean that emits a sulfur-like substance. This substance evaporates in the atmosphere and then descends to the earth, allowing plants to absorb the sulfur from the soil through their roots. In this way, MSM is naturally incorporated into the food chain, and thus into your horse’s ration. However, the amount of sulfur in food is not constant and therefore not always sufficient. Therefore, a supplement with MSM can be a useful addition to provide your horse with support throughout the musculoskeletal system and hooves.

HorseFlex MSM is therefore a suitable supplement for horses that need extra support in the joints, tendons and ligaments. In addition, MSM powder is great for horses with little grazing, older horses and horses that can use extra support with physical exertion.

Dosage:
This product can easily be given over the feed. You may moisten the powder if necessary so it doesn’t get blown out of the container.

Horse or pony up to 350kg: 6 grams – 3/4 scoop per day.

Horse over 350kg: 12 grams – 1.5 scoop per day.
