Dosage
- The optimal dose is 1 x daily for the first week:
- Horse 15 – 20 drops
- Dog 10 – 15 drops
- Cat- 5 drops
- 20 drops is approximately 1 ml. (1 ml = 20 drops)
Then a dose every other day for 1 week, then reduce to 1 dose every 3 to 5 days during the pollen season.
The label states a dose once every 5 days for the first three weeks. Then 1 x every 3 weeks until the end of the pollen season. Both recommended doses are correct, look closely at how the animal reacts and what it needs.
Shake well before use
Give PUUR Pollen for at least 1 pollen season. 2 seasons if necessary.
With a number of products, a short-term aggravation may occur at the start of treatment. This means that the animal reacts to the product. In the event of a serious increase, halve the dose or stop it temporarily and then slowly build up again.
Administration
Give this product with a plastic syringe directly into the mouth, possibly diluted with a little water. Preferably not at the same time as a meal because the product works better when it is absorbed by the clean oral mucosa. If an animal does not like the product, the drops can be given on a small piece of treat.
If the cat does not accept the drops, put the drops on a warm spoon and let the alcohol evaporate from the product. Then give it diluted with some water or milk with a syringe directly into the mouth. The drops can also be applied to the top of the paw, but check whether the cat licks the drops off the paw.
Duration of treatment
Has a desensitizing effect.
Provide good quality food.
In case of itching caused by pests, adequate flea control must be provided.
In an acute situation, the duration of the treatment is relatively short. This can vary from a few days to 3 weeks. In case of improvement, continue to administer this product for a few more days.
With prolonged discomfort, the effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks. If there is improvement, a maintenance dose can be used. This is usually half the dosage indicated on the package. When dosing this product, look carefully at the reaction of the animal. In the beginning a higher dose may be required, this product can be safely given in a double dose. Reduce the dose gradually to the lowest possible dose.
This product can be given permanently. It is advisable to insert a stop week after every 6 to 8 weeks. In this way, the ‘stimulus’ can be offered again after the stop week. Resume treatment immediately if there is reason to do so.
Interaction and contraindication
During pregnancy and lactation always apply in consultation with the attending veterinarian. To date, side effects of this product have not been known or reported.
Storage
Avoid direct sunlight and store this product dry and at a temperature between 5-20 ° C. Keep out of reach of children. The expiry date is stated on the label and the box.
