The five elements in dogs

FIRE

fireFire is associated with the heart and the small intestines , the tongue and the blood vessels .

The accompanying emotions:
Out of balance: nervous
In balance: joy and exuberance

The Fire Dog, intelligent and cheerful.

The Fire Dog loves to interact with people, especially when they come to admire her. She is flashy and intelligent. She has a keen intuition and has complete confidence in the guide, provided the guide is in balance and the relationship is good (a nervous owner also makes her nervous). Life is a big party and she doesn’t want to miss any of it. She wants to keep an eye on everything and enjoys going around her. These animals love shows in all its facets; the brushing, the showing, the attention, they love it. This dog is easily distracted by other dogs, she likes to interact. They are comedians and the more she is admired the more she shows herself. This is also true for competitions, but speed is something the Fire Hound doesn’t like, it’s about grace.

She is very (pain) sensitive and squeaks before anything is wrong! They are often beautiful dogs, with a soft, lithe build, with a smooth and graceful way of movement, the legs are often long and slender.

Fire dogs are easily bored and therefore need a lot of variety!

Owner

Due to its intelligence, the Fire Dog is able to combine quickly. This requires some insight from the owner into a dog’s learning processes. It is a dog that is very human-oriented and needs gentle yet tight guidance to keep from becoming a pest. Physical contact is very important for this dog, so stay calm and patient. Annoyance during a workout is a bad trait, it will irrevocably reduce performance.
Patience and positive training are a must for these dogs.

It goes without saying that this dog should be extensively rewarded and applauded for displaying the desired behavior. Often these dogs are not ‘food sensitive’ and they are difficult to motivate with a treat, they are generally fussy eaters. Be creative, reward the dog with something that the dog actually experiences as a reward.

Occurs in the following breed groups:

  • Shepherd dogs and drovers, dachshunds
  • Standing Hunting Dogs
  • Companion and dwarf dogs, especially the poodle
  • Pinchers
  • Terriers
