Team Den Hoek - Annette Brenters

In this new section, each month we ask one of our team members a series of questions so that you can get to know us a little better. After Joyce it is now the turn of one of our human therapists, Annette.

– How long have you been working for Den Hoek and how did you end up here?
To be honest I don’t know exactly, I think about 8 years now. I ended up here because of Huib. He retired and then I succeeded him. Huib now still works here one day a week, but that goes well together!

– What do you like most about your job?
The most enjoyable part is the contact with people and especially when patients come back and they feel better, it makes me very happy. But I also really enjoy the contact with all colleagues.

– What is the most important thing you have learned during your work at Den Hoek?
The important thing is to experience that there is so much more between heaven and earth than what we can perceive with our senses.

– What is the nicest or most special thing you have experienced during your work?
Too many to mention, every day is different.

– What do you like least about your job?
Actually nothing. I especially like the diversity of the work. Not every day is the same, there is always something special happening.

– How would you describe the Den Hoek team?
A very diverse team of special people. Whether you’re talking about the therapists or the assistants. That is what makes it so much fun to work here, with those different characters.

– Do you have pets yourself?
Yes, I have a very naughty 5 year old Heidewachtel.

– Coffee or tea break?
Pause??? No idea what that is, but it doesn’t matter, a coffee or tea in between is also sufficient.

– What can we wake you up for?
Not for anything at all. Although my friends will probably give a different answer, hahaha!

– What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love going out for dinner, going to a terrace, getting a breath of fresh air at the beach, playing a game of tennis, but I also enjoy watching a movie at home on the couch.
